Further to a previous post featuring aerobicized English instruction for Japanese speakers, here is another installment:

Chief J. Strongboy

| Bobby and Isabel with their Aunt Kathy at the zoo. Kathy came to stay with us for a couple of weeks to help with the kids, ensuring our eternal gratitude. |

| The geneticist says that Bobby is quite well-toned for a baby with Down Syndrome. For that reason I have taken to calling him Chief J. Strongboy, after the 1970s professional wrestler, Chief J. Strongbow. Here Bobby flexes his he-man physique. |

There Goes That Plan...
I'm on jury duty next week. This admonishment in the Trial Jurors Handbook caught my eye:
One has to wonder how often they have this problem.
It would be dishonest for a judge to decide a case by tossing a coin. It would be just as dishonest for a juror to do so.
One has to wonder how often they have this problem.

War is Peace, Ignorance is Knowledge
If you haven’t noticed by now, there is one sure way to determine that a proposition is false: George W. Bush expresses unshakeable confidence that it is true, and incredulity that anyone could think otherwise. Iraq is brimming with weapons of mass destruction. Brownie is doing a heck of a job. The mission is accomplished. America is safer because we handed al-Qaeda a prime recruiting issue and training ground. The insurgency is on its last legs. Rumsfeld’s staying. And this gem from a couple of weeks ago:
Be sure to keep this principle in mind when reading Georgie's assurances from yesterday that he's going to work well with the incoming Democratic congress. And that’s before the parade of special prosecutors. Enjoy the impeachment proceedings, George.
Now that the election's over, we can turn our speculation to which defense contractor Rumsfeld will be working for come January. Because you can bet that he planned out that exit strategy.
“We’ve been though this before. We will win in the Senate and we will win in the House.”Georgie made this statement on a campaign stop in Montana. The first clue that he's lying about being so confident? He's making a campaign stop in Montana.
Be sure to keep this principle in mind when reading Georgie's assurances from yesterday that he's going to work well with the incoming Democratic congress. And that’s before the parade of special prosecutors. Enjoy the impeachment proceedings, George.
