News Flash

Isabel took her first steps today. She also confirmed that she has learned to wave. By my calculations, at this rate she will come up with a testable unified field theory between 2041 and 2047.

Comments Are Busted

As some of you have noted, the comments function broke when I switched hosting providers. Unbelievable as it may sound, I haven't had time to fix it. But I do have all the comments that people posted since it went kablooey and I will put them up when the system is fixed.

I apologize for the inconvenience; please post your complaints in the comments section.

Yes, But How Much Space is He a Waste of?

So today I'm talking on the phone in my office and the COO and the new Vice President of Human Resources round the corner and peer in. I signal that I'll just be a moment, but they wave it off; they don't need to talk to me. The COO pulls out a tape measure and measures my office, they confer, note the dimensions, and walk away.

I suspect this is high on the top ten list of bad signs.

Holiday Snaps

We recently returned from about a week in Massachusetts. Isabel was beginning to pronounce the consonant "r" and I felt we needed to put an end to it.

Isabel just loves that feeling of sand between her toes.

Cousin Dunkin poses with Isabel. Cousin Dunkin had markedly less fur at the end of the day than he did at the beginning, but he was a very good sport about it.

Isabel plays with pals Zayus and Kaya Clark.

Quality time with grammy.

FAQ

Yesterday friend, squirrel aficionado, and budding divemaster Jim D.G. posed a query I get frequently: is this a blog or a website? On reflection, he astutely answered his own question. "It's really more of a multimedia event, isn't it?" This is now our official answer.

Are there other questions we could be addressing better for you, our loyal readers? Post a comment and we will try to do the best we can.

Better Invade Iran

Taken at the famous gas station/church in Rosslyn.

I feel just terrible for the Hummer owners. Maybe we should hold a benefit concert!
