What Kind of Guy Am I?
I am the kind of guy who reads the sentence, "I bought a Geiger counter as a birthday present for myself" and thinks, "hey, this is someone I want to hang out with!" And almost simultaneously: "I wonder how much that model costs?" (Don't worry honey; it's too expensive for what would be sure to be a limited foray into radiation geekery.)

Convoluted Marvelux
We're in the market for a new mattress and I've been doing the due diligence, which is considerable. The marketing of mattresses seems to resemble that of no other product apart from perhaps cars. Even the salesmen at Mattress Warehouse look like they would be more at home in a used car lot.
One manufacturer is trying to sell me a product made from something called "Convoluted Marvelux®". I initially thought this was the sequel to "Napoleon Dynamite", but alas, they want me to sleep on this stuff, claiming it provides "a firm, yet comfortable feel." Presumably if they left the Marvelux® be, rather than convoluting it, it would be comfortable but squishy, whereas if one were to convolute some other material it would be merely firm.
